Principal Engineer - Subsurface
Bhoj Raj leads helium exploration, development and production activities for all project areas. He is primarily responsible for engineering, planning and executing subsurface operations required to discover, develop and produce helium from our gas fields in a safe, cost-effective and sustainable manner. He works with multi-disciplinary teams and manages integrated workflows involving geoscience, drilling & completion, reservoir, facilities and production engineering disciplines as we advance our helium projects from an initial conceptual stage through to commercial production.
He brings over 20 years of hands-on engineering and operations management experience in the oil and gas industry spanning across drilling & completions engineering, well design & well testing, reservoir & production engineering, and economic modelling for exploration & development projects in both onshore and offshore environments. He has helped shepherd Weil’s growth over the last decade and has been instrumental in conceptualizing, proving & optimizing our WHIMM technology.
Bhoj Raj is a Professional Engineer and holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines) Dhanbad where he graduated first class with distinction.
